Vector-Based Matching Engine

At the core of HireGoat is a vector-based matching system. Candidate and employer data are converted into embeddings and stored in a vector database (Pinecone). Using cosine similarity, the system measures how closely a candidate aligns with a role, not just on skills, but on cultural fit too. This ensures matches are meaningful, not just keyword-deep.

AI-Assisted Data Structuring

Both candidates and employers interact with AI-driven chat flows that convert unstructured inputs into structured profiles. Candidates can upload a CV and get an analyzed summary of their CV according to the company requirements, and an organized profile. Employers can upload job descriptions or use a chatbot to generate role summaries. This reduces manual effort while improving the consistency of data used for matching.

Dual-Layer Matching

HireGoat doesn't just match on experience. It evaluates job fit based on role requirements and culture fit based on company values and candidate preferences, scoring each separately and combining them into a final match score. This ensures recommendations are aligned both technically and contextually.

Context-Aware Candidate Discovery

Candidates don't browse through endless irrelevant listings. Based on their profile and preferences, the system surfaces a curated set of opportunities as swipeable cards, pre-qualified, focused, and far less frustrating than traditional job search.

Mandatory Feedback on Rejections

HireGoat enforces a structured feedback loop. Before rejecting any candidate, employers must provide a valid reason. Since every application comes through a pre-filtered match, each one represents genuine alignment, and candidates deserve to know why they weren't selected. This builds a more transparent, accountable hiring process.
